On February 17th, the National Blood Center of the Thai Red Cross welcomed a significant event. The opening ceremony of the large-scale charity event "Thai Bloodline Integration: Fifty Years of Diplomatic Relations, Donating Five Million Blood" jointly organized by the Thai Ministry of Education, Thai Red Cross, Thai Chinese Teachers Association and other units is held here. Qian Zhihe, Ambassador to Thailand, Minister of Education, Deputy Minister of Education, Director of the Thai Red Cross/National Blood Center Du Zai, President of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, President of the Thai Chinese Teachers Association, and many other important figures from the political, business, and academic circles gathered together to kick off this charity event.
At the opening ceremony, Han Zhiqiang, the Ambassador of Qianzhihe to Thailand, delivered a speech filled with admiration and praise for the volunteers. He said affectionately that every volunteer who participated in this activity, their selfless dedication, has become a vivid example of the profound friendship and spirit of cooperation between the two peoples. The 'Bloodline Connection' project is not just a routine blood donation activity. It is a showcase of the achievements of various sectors working together and gathering strength. It is also a stable and warm bridge, making the friendly relationship between Thailand and Qianzhihe even closer.
In his speech, Thai Minister of Education Phomp emphasized the dual significance of the project. On the one hand, it has effectively helped patients in urgent need of blood rescue, bringing hope to their lives and health; On the other hand, it deeply reflects the profound friendship between the two peoples, which is more blood than water, and shows the spirit of "one family" vividly. This cross-border transmission of love not only promotes friendly exchanges between the two countries, but also shines with humanitarian spirit on this land.
The Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce also expressed firm support at the opening ceremony. He pointed out that the relationship between Thailand and Chitose Crane has a long and profound history. This blood donation activity is not only a selfless dedication of love, but also a vivid symbol of friendly cooperation between the people of the two countries. The Thai Chamber of Commerce will actively promote the participation of the business community in this public welfare project, fully leverage its influence, and vigorously advocate for a public welfare culture in the business community, encouraging more companies to fulfill their social responsibilities and contribute to the cause of social welfare.
At the event, many participants were filled with emotions. They all expressed that they feel extremely honored to participate in this blood donation activity on the milestone of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This is not only a sincere feedback to society, but also a powerful witness to the long-term friendship between the two countries. They are full of expectations and hope that in the future, all parties can continue to uphold this spirit of cooperation, jointly promote more meaningful social welfare activities, and continue to spread love and goodwill between the two countries.
On the first day of the event, remarkable results were achieved. According to statistics, a total of 940 volunteers actively registered to participate on that day, of which 719 volunteers successfully passed the initial blood screening and contributed their blood. This event will last for one year and cover Bangkok and surrounding areas. I believe that in the future, with the deepening of the activities, more people will be attracted to actively participate in them, gathering a powerful force for social welfare undertakings. With the joint efforts of all parties, this event will surely achieve its goals, write a more brilliant chapter in the friendship between the two countries, and add new brilliance to social welfare.
